Porto/Post/Doc will be present at Cannes Docs 2026, the documentary programme of the Marché du Film, from 14 to 20 May. Sérgio Gomes, Executive Director of the festival, will be in Cannes to follow the programme, meet with professionals and continue the festival’s work with filmmakers, producers and partner institutions.

Porto/Post/Doc is part of the list of Cannes Docs festival partners, a framework that brings together documentary festivals from different territories within the professional context of Cannes. The programme includes Docs-in-Progress presentations, Spotlighted Projects, the Co-Pro Social Club, professional meetings and Doc Day, creating a space of contact for projects at different stages of development, production and circulation.

The presence in Cannes is part of Porto/Post/Doc’s regular international activity and of the development of Porto Industry Days, its professional platform. It is also a way to follow new films, map collaborations and strengthen links between Porto and the international documentary field.
