Porto/Post/Doc presents Porto/Pod/Cast, a new podcast dedicated to cinema, created with the purpose of bringing people and ideas together around the seventh art. This space seeks to explore trends, challenges, and emerging issues that define the experience of both making and consuming cinema, fostering rich and inspiring dialogues. Through informal conversations, Porto/Pod/Cast builds bridges between filmmakers, programmers, critics, and audiences, encouraging reflection, the exchange of experiences, and the discovery of new perspectives on the world of cinema.

The first session of Porto/Pod/Cast will be recorded live at Vícios Bonfim, on September 21 at 5:00 PM, under the theme “The Place of Festivals: The Role of Porto’s Festivals in the Cultural Landscape”. Participants include Filipe Martins (Family Film Project), Joana Alves dos Santos (MICAR), Né Barros (Family Film Project), and Rita Capucho (Porto Femme), moderated by Sérgio Gomes (Porto/Post/Doc). Admission is free, offering everyone the chance to attend the recording and take part in a conversation that promises to shed light on the impact and relevance of festivals in the city’s cultural life.
