Applications are now open for the Arché Porto 2025, the project development lab that will take place within the context of the Porto/Post/Doc: Film & Media Festival, scheduled for 20–29 November 2025 in Porto, Portugal. The call is open from 23 June to 21 July 2025 (11:59 PM GMT+1).
Arché Porto is a space for creative development and critical thinking, offering filmmakers the opportunity to work closely with internationally renowned tutors through a six-day intensive workshop. The programme culminates in a public presentation to an international jury, which will award development prizes to one or more projects.
This open call is exclusively for filmmakers from Ibermedia member countries, including: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela.
Application Requirements:
Applicants must complete the online submission form and upload the following documents:
1. Project dossier (max. 8 pages, PDF format) in Portuguese, Spanish, or English, including:
· Project title
· Long synopsis
· Director’s note with references to the visual approach
· Note on the current development stage and needs
· Statement of intent and relevance of the project
· Biographies of the director, producer (if applicable), and production company (if applicable)
· Links to previous works (if applicable)
2. Between 2 and 5 stills or visual references
3. Budget summary and financing plan, indicating any confirmed support (if applicable)
4. Motivation letter, outlining the applicant’s interest in Arché Porto and the aspects of the project they wish to work on during the workshop
Applicants are required to read the Arché Porto regulations before submitting. Incomplete applications or those that do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be considered. All submitted information will remain confidential within the organisation.
