A festival of Spanish cinema, Cinefiesta is the stage of the festival for Spanish productions or co-productions. Porto/Post/Doc invites programmers from five Spanish festivals for carte blanche, resulting in an authentic windows for the independent cinema produced by the neighboring country, from Seville to Barcelona.

The five Spanish festivals invited to this edition are: ZINEBI, L'Alternativa, Punto de Vista, Gijón International Film Festival (FICX) and also the Seville European Film Festival. The programs focus exclusively on contemporary works by some of the most promising Spanish filmmakers such as Xacio Baño or Laida Lertxundi.

Cinefiesta sessions will take place at Cinema Trindade at 3pm, from November 26 to 30, at Porto/Post/Doc festival, and will be attended by guest programmers. Cinefiesta is funded by Programa de la sociedad estatal Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) para la Internacionalización de la Cultura Española (PICE).

Porto/Post/Doc takes place between November 24 and December 2 at the Porto Municipal Theater - Rivoli, Cinema Passos Manuel, Cinema Trindade, Planetário do Porto - Centro Ciência Viva, Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and Escola das Artes - UCP.
