PARTIDA, by Caco Ciocler

ANDRÉ GUIOMAR, for A Nossa Terra, O Nosso Altar

SPAUTORES — CINEMA FALADO AWARD

Best Portuguese-language film in the programme, unless otherwise stated
Prize: 3,000 euros

ÊXTASE, by Moara Passoni
"The best film in the Cinema Falado competition embodies, through a politics of the body turned political body, the lived experience of a time that is simultaneously personal, collective, historical and sociopolitical. For addressing highly relevant issues and articulating the critical potential of various artistic languages through cinematic imagery, this award goes to 'Êxtase' by Moara Passoni."

TRANSMISSION AWARD

Best film in the Transmission section, unless otherwise stated
Prize: 1,000 euros

NIÑOS SOMOS TODOS, by Sergi Camerón
"The jury decided to award 'Niños Somos Todos' by Sergi Camerón for its excellent balance of documentary cinema, travelogue, musical experimentation and performance. With an empathetic view of the other, the film fosters numerous encounters and crossings. Also noteworthy is the subtlety with which it explores the protagonist's personal search for reconciliation with his childhood and the canonical conservatism of flamenco, in the construction of a freer, more authorial artistic identity. The quality of the music editing, sound mixing and cinematography were also highly valued."

CINEMA NOVO AWARD by CANAL 180

Best film in the Cinema Novo Competition
Prize: 500 euros + 2,000 euros in services at BLIT + 500 euros in services at Show Reel

HÁ ALGUÉM NA TERRA, by Francisca Magalhães, Joana Tato Borges, Maria Canela
"Filmed with poetic delicacy, where the image, through small gestures, gains depth and transports the themes to another dimension of space and time. We follow the journey of a character who embodies a cycle of life in a local reality that takes on a universal cinematic dimension."

Special Mention
JAMAIKA, by Alexander Sussman
"The jury decided to give a special mention to 'Jamaika' for the quality demonstrated in its direction, editing and screenplay."
