Porto/Post/Doc will premiere the new documentary abot Blur. On December 2nd, 22.15h, Cinema Passos Manuel screens the very special session that is repeated all over the world of "Blur: New World Towers, Hong Kong to Hyde Park and back."

The display of this film is part of “Transmission” section, dedicated to the intersection between cinema and music.

Sam Wrench's film focuses on three events: the band's concert in London's Hyde Park for 60,000 fans; the release of "The Magic Whip", the first album in 12 years; and the concert in Hong Kong.

"New World Towers" is the proof of the chemical in a pop rock band, especially the relationship between the singer Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon, guitarist. Ultimately, their lasting friendship prevailed.

This is the second film with respect to Damon Albarn’s band. In 2010, Blur released "No Distance Left to Run", a documentary about the band's history, with unpublished archival live recordings and images.

Blur met in 2008 after five years apart. In 2012, they were at portuguese Optimus Primavera Sound and then took the stage of the Super Bock Super Rock portuguese music festival.
