Filmed during Dak'Art 2024, "Whispers" explores the inner turmoil of an imprisoned man through states of emotion, perception, and psychological confinement. Drawing on Birago Diop's poem "Breaths", the whispers of the ancestors become a recurring refrain, connecting individual imprisonment to questions of memory, spiritual presence, and transmission.
