At 14, Fanta trains as a contortionist with an acrobatic troupe in Guinea-Conakry and dreams of joining its next tour. Between school, intensive rehearsals and caring for her ailing mother, she also faces expectations around gender and responsibility. Blending close observation with magical-realist imagery, the film portrays the process of growing up and finding a voice and a future of her own.
