The series "Oussekine" revisits the murder of Malik Oussekine, a French-Algerian student killed by police in Paris in 1986.

Based on the research and script development work of Lina Soualem, in dialogue with Carole Desbarats, the session explores the investigative process, the use of archival material, and the narrative choices that confront systemic racism and France’s political memory.

Following the discussion, the first two episodes of the series will be screened. More information here: Oussekine EP.01 + EP.02.

Open to all festival accreditation holders or upon purchase of a ticket.
