International producer and mentor Myriam Weil leads a reflection on the role of the producer as a mediator between market demands, creative integrity, and ethical responsibility in storytelling. Drawing on her experience with Eurodoc Series and Federation Studios, she examines the complex balance between authorship and accountability when developing projects inspired by real events. Through concrete examples, Weil explores production strategies for VOD platforms and discusses how contemporary narratives can remain both commercially viable and ethically grounded, particularly when dealing with politically sensitive or high-profile media stories.
