Come Closer is a new Porto/Post/Doc initiative dedicated to building an annual, decentralised network for film exhibition in collaboration with film clubs and independent venues across Portugal and Galicia. The project extends the life of selected films, particularly European independent works, ensuring their circulation beyond the festival calendar and reaching audiences with limited access to arthouse cinema. Through co-programmed screenings, Come Closer strengthens cooperation between local cultural agents, producers, and distributors, promoting fairer and more sustainable exhibition models. Each session becomes a shared experience, reconnecting audiences with the pleasure of cinema on the big screen and affirming its collective power to bring people together across borders and generations.
