In the middle of the American desert mysterious structures appear: black pyramids with perfectly polished surfaces. They are man-made sites for the long-term storage of radioactive waste from nuclear power stations. From a helicopter, Barba films in atmospheric 35mm the landscape and how it has been modified by human actions.
