Carla was born in the tradition of the clay potters, a name given to the women who make clay pots in the city of Vitória, in Brazil. Daughter, granddaughter and great-granddaughter of potters, Carla is a trans woman who moulds the clay as someone who moulds her identity. Maíra Tristão films the bodies, the gestures and the mangrove swamps with poetic and disruptive force.
