On May 30th 1967, following Biafra's unilateral declaration of independence, one of the most dramatic refugee crises of the twentieth century erupted. War and famine forced hundreds of thousands of people to cross the air bridge from Nigeria to São Tomé. The Sao Tomean director Silas Tiny returns to this historical moment (through testimonies and archives), reflecting on how the Portuguese dictatorship received and repressed this desperate human surge.
