"Molinera" focuses on the vanishing symbol of the bell as a metaphor to an emerging Portuguese reality: the desertification of the country’s interior region. Filmed in Miranda do Douro it follows the daily life of its aged community and its broad empty landscapes. The film explores people and memory and, ultimately, the invisibility of things that are still close to us.
