Who said that fashion can not be independent? A beautiful, though rare example of this, is the case of the Belgian fashion design movement, in which Dries Van Noten takes on a leading role. In Dries, Reiner Holzemer accompanies, for twelve months and four collections, this stylist, who has already surpassed 25 years of his career. "Fashion is an empty word," he says at one point criticizing the immediacy associated with the term. That is why classicism and balance are ideas that appear repeatedly throughout this biopic to describe the work of Van Noten, whose creation and production process is revealed practically in its entirety: from parades to sewing, from modelling to photographic sessions and even inspiring walks in the garden.
