Raqqa, Syria. In a city occupied by the self-proclaimed Islamic State, life is turned inside out. Is it still possible to maintain a minimum survival? In this city of ghosts, any recklessness against the ideology of this radical group is fatal: murder and decapitation in the public square. It is in this context that a group of citizens, transformed into journalists, begins to report the daily life of the city, showing, to Western media, how terror has invaded their lives. In the war of images, citizens-journalists make a decisive move. Matthew Heineman, whose Cartel Land was screened in Porto/Post/Doc 2016, uses a method close to investigative journalism, showing, at a very fast pace, the way contemporary warfare is also practised in the images the world sees.
