Albertina Carri (1973) was born in Buenos Aires where she lives and works. Visual artist, producer, screenwriter and director, she is a fundamental figure of the Argentine cinema in which she is marked by the versatility and investigation that applies to the police, to the melodrama as to the documentary. Los Rubios, her second feature film, in which the director portrays her memories of the disappearance of her parents during the military dictatorship, has become a reference work in Argentine cinema since the recovery of the democratic regime and has aroused constant debates in the country. In fact, the discussions take place so much around the formal materiality of the film, that, working on a documentary investigation, she turns to fiction, animation cinema and the use of the typography, as in relation to the project of restoration of the author's identity to whom the dictatorship made the parents disappear.
