PORTUGUESE PREMIERE

In this film, the relationship between sailors and prostitutes is explored in a very organic manner, portraying the life of this people as the ocean, with waves and tides, turbulent in its routine, like rituals. Sandy, a former prostitute marked by a life of temporary romances, is the protagonist of "Exotica, Erotica, Etc.", and provides a mythological aura to the movie, as if she was a mermaid who lures men and the sailor’s testimonies represented the sacrifices and temptations of Odysseus and his partners. This documentary directed by French based visual artist Evangelia Kranioti is an extremely poetic essay about love, but also about desire and lust. (André Puertas Oliveira)
